Community Guideline

E-Pal (EPAL, Inc.) wants to bring the best experience possible to all users in the community. By joining E-Pal, you as a user agree to all current and future community guidelines, in which are put in place to grow user experience and safety.

As the provider of the service, we at E-Pal reserve the right to suspend (temporary and/or permanently) any account at any time for any conduct in which we determine to be inappropriate or harmful to protect the integrity of the community. Inappropriate and/or harmful - including but not limited to - may include actions such as; removal of content, a suspension of account, and/or termination of account(s).  

Community guidelines will be regularly updated based on the growth of our community. Additional guidelines and some exceptions may be applicable for certain cases.

Law:

As a user, you must respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using E-Pal or E-Pal related services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is strictly prohibited.

Suspension/Termination Evasion:

All suspensions and/or terminations are binding until expiration or removal upon appeal. Any attempt to bypass an account suspension or chat ban by using other accounts, identities, personalities, or online presence (including but not limited to using another user's account) will result in immediate termination.

Violence and Threats:

E-Pal has a strict no violence policy. Acts and/or threats of violence in any capacity will be taken seriously and are considered zero-tolerance violations. Any and all accounts associated with such activities will be terminated immediately. This includes but is not limited to:

Attempts or threats in any capacity

Interaction with intent or otherwise cyberbully others

Attempts or threats to physically harm or kill others

Attempts or threats to hack, DDOS, or SWAT others

Attempts or threats to reveal personal information regarding another user publically

Use of weapons to physically threaten, intimidate, harm, or kill others

Harassment:

Harassment or any kind of interaction made by a user which creates an environment that is considered degrading, intimidating, hostile, or abusive by E-Pal staff is strictly prohibited. Depending on the severity of the offense, your account may be terminated indefinitely with no warning.

Hateful conduct is any content or activity that promotes, encourages, or facilitates discrimination, denigration, objectification, harassment, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, medical condition, physical characteristics, or veteran status is strictly prohibited and is considered as a serious offence. Participating in such actions will result in action on all accounts associated with a range of enforcement actions, including but not limited to account termination.

Cybersecurity:

We recognize that the safety of our users extends to the security of their personal information. Attempts to gather sensitive personal information by deceptive or invasive methods are harmful to the authentic, open, and safe atmosphere that we want to foster. Therefore, we do not allow attempts to gather sensitive user information through the abuse of our platform and products.

Unauthorized Sharing of Private Information:

E-Pal prohibits any users to share content that may reveal private personal information about individuals. Private personal information includes but is not limited to; names which aren’t used publically, location, workplace, private property, images and otherwise without permission.

To further enforce - this includes but is not limited to:

Sharing personally identifiable information (such as real name, location, or ID)

Sharing restricted or protected social profiles or any information from those profiles
Sharing private images

Sharing content that violates another's reasonable expectation of privacy

Example: streaming from a private space without permission

Privacy Invasion:

Any attempts or activities to record or stream others on any alternative platform without their consent will result in privacy invasion.

Verified E-Pals: In order to protect yourself from harassment during a voice chat, please inform the other party that your conversation will be recorded for security purposes.

Content creators: Please ask for the other party’s consent before you use any recording software of or applications to record for content.

When a user violates your right to privacy, you have a legal claim. To make that claim, you will be required to gather evidence of the invasion and notify the defendant to cease and desist his or her behavior. If you want to further the case and seek legal action, contact a legal representative who can advise you on your legal rights.

Impersonation:

Content or activity meant to impersonate an individual or organization is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to misrepresent yourself will result in an immediate account termination.

Spam, Scams, and Other Malicious Conduct:

Any content or activity that is considered as harmful and a violation to the integrity of E-Pal services or another user's experience is strictly prohibited.

Such activities includes but is not limited to:

Posting large amounts of repetitive, unwanted messages or user reports

Distributing unauthorized advertisements

Phishing

Defrauding others

Spreading malware or viruses

Misinformation (such as feigning distress, posting misleading metadata, or intentional channel miscategorization)

Tampering (such as artificially inflating number of order or stats appearing in profiles)

Selling or sharing accounts

Reselling E-Pal services or features (such as first 500 E-Pals accounts)

Defacing, or attempting to deface, website pages or other E-Pal services (such as uploading inappropriate or malicious content) or creating the false impression of being provided by or supported by E-Pal

Spreading content that has chain letters or pyramid schemes

Infringing trademarks, patents, copyright, other industrial property rights, business secrets or other third-party rights;

Sexual Solicitation:

Sexual Solicitation is including but not limited to offering or asking for sex or sexual partner, sex chat or sex conversation, nudity and sexually explicit contents or any other NSFW-deemed activites.

Nudity and sexually explicit content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are strictly prohibited. Content or activities that threaten or promote sexual violence or exploitation are strictly prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement. Child exploitation will be reported to authorities via the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Sexually suggestive content or activities are also prohibited. Sexually explicit content and activities, such as pornography, sexual acts, and sexual services, including solicitation and offers for such content, are prohibited. Sexually suggestive content is prohibited. When reviewing this type of sexual content or activity, we will consider its intent and context based on a number of factors including, but not limited to:

Behavior and commentary

Reaction to content (ie. chat messages)

Cheating in Online Games:

Any activity such as cheating, hacking, botting, elo boosting or tampering with the intended mechanics or gameplay in any capacity is strictly prohibited. Any gameplay which is intended to unfairly give the account owner an advantage in an online multiplayer game is perceived as cheating. This also includes but is not limited to exploiting a bug in-game.
